The PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1 course is only intended for the low wage workers in the PWM-Food Services Sector.
Course Objectives
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1 (FSCL 1): Learn essential food hygiene practices and safety standards to ensure compliance with Singapore's food safety regulations.
Standard First Aid: Participants will be able to provide the necessary skills in identifying, planning and managing an emergency situation at home, in school or an outdoor setting.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this programme the learner will be able to:
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Equip food handlers of both retail and non-retail food establishments with the knowledge and application skills to follow food safety and hygiene procedures and policies, as well as maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of premises.
Standard First Aid Course: Be equipped to perform CPR & AED on adult victims and how to react to various emergency situations while maintaining self-confidence, composure, and assurance to others.

PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Written assessment which consists of Multiple-Choice Questions and Short Answer Questions, Practical Performance.
Standard First Aid Course: Multiple-Choice Questions and Practical Assessment
Who Should Attend
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Any person who is planning to handle and prepare food and beverage in SFA-licensed food establishment i.e. Kitchen Managers, Supervisors, Chefs, Sous Chefs, Cooks, Kitchen Assistants, Food Stall Assistants and all food and beverage handlers.
Standard First Aid
- Primary, secondary and tertiary school staff
- Sports/Fitness Instructors, NROC registered coaches, life- guards, elder caregivers, staff working in office environments and members of the public
Minimum Entry Requirement
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: No formal qualification - Participants should have the ability to converse, read & write in English.

PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: 7.5 Hours
Standard First Aid: 12 hours
