The PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1 course is only intended for the low wage workers in the PWM-Food Services Sector.
Course Objectives
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Learn essential food hygiene practices and safety standards to ensure compliance with Singapore's food safety regulations.
Blended Child First Aid Course:
- Prepare learners with necessary skills in identifying, planning and managing a medical emergency at home or in school.
- Equip learners with the skills in rendering first aid for injuries and medical emergencies arising from common accidents among infants, children and adults.
- Equip learners with the skills in providing effective resuscitation (CPR) to an adult, child and infant during medical emergencies
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this programme the learner will be able to:
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Equip food handlers of both retail and non-retail food establishments with the knowledge and application skills to follow food safety and hygiene procedures and policies, as well as maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of premises.
Blended Child First Aid Course: Provide learners with knowledge & techniques to recognise and mitigate injuries and medical emergencies like cardiac arrest, fractures, laceration, cuts, bites, severe breathing difficulties and bleedings not only in adult casualties but also that in children and infants.

PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Face to Face
Blended Child First Aid Course:
- Online 1 day
- Face to Face 1 day in class (8 hours)
Assessment
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Written assessment which consists of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) and Short Answer Questions (SAQ), Practical Performance.
Blended Child First Aid Course: Multiple-Choice Questions, Practical Assessment
Who Should Attend
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: Any person who is planning to handle and prepare food and beverage in SFA-licensed food establishment i.e. Kitchen Managers, Supervisors, Chefs, Sous Chefs, Cooks, Kitchen Assistants, Food Stall Assistants and all food and beverage handlers.
Blended Child First Aid Course: Childcare Providers, Teachers and School Staff, Parents and Guardians, Activity Leaders, Youth Group Leaders, Grandparents and Family Members.
Minimum Entry Requirement
PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: No formal qualification - Participants should have the ability to converse, read & write in English.

PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 1: 7.5 Hours
Blended Child First Aid Course: 20 Hours
- Part 1 online learning – 7 hours
- Total Duration for Part 2 Practical Learning – 8 hours
- Total Duration for Part 3 Assessment - 5 hours
