The PWM - Food Service: Food Safety Course Level 3 course is only intended for the low wage workers in the PWM-Food Services Sector.
Course Objectives
PWM-Food Service: Food Service Course Level 3
On completion of this course, participants will have the following knowledge and application skills to perform the following at the workplace:
- Conduct food safety and hygiene checks.
- Identify hygiene lapses and manage non-conformances.
- Implement food safety and hygiene policies and procedures to ensure effective implementation of pre-requisite programmes and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)- based Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
Occupational First Aid: A mandatory course for personnel who will be appointed as a workplace first aider.
- This comprehensive training is designed for individuals responsible for workplace safety, such as safety officers, emergency response team members, supervisors, and employees in highrisk industries.
- Learn essential first aid techniques, CPR and AED usage, and be prepared to handle workplace emergencies confidently.
- Stay compliant with safety regulations and create a safer work environment be becoming a certified first aider today
- This course is accredited by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) with a 2-year certificate validity.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this programme the learner will be able to:
PWM-Food Service: Food Service Course Level 3
- The course equips FHOs with knowledge and practical skills for conducting checks on cleanliness, personal hygiene, and food hygiene in food establishments.
- FHOs will also learn about the Pre-Requisite Programmes (PRPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles.
- WSQ FSC Level 3 has replaced the former WSQ Conduct Food & Beverage Hygiene Audit course.
Occupational First Aid
- The learner will increase awareness of possible accidents, identify accidents with casualties and optimise health and performance at the workplace
- Stay compliant with safety regulations and create a safer work environment

Who Should Attend
PWM-Food Service: Food Service Course Level 3
All food hygiene officers (FHOs) working in retail or non-retail food establishments and in certain types of establishments that are licensed by SFA. This includes FHO working in:
- Retail food establishments such as hawker stalls, food stalls at canteens, and restaurants.
- Non-retail food establishments such as food manufacturers and food processing plants.
Occupational First Aid
- Safety Officers/Workplace Safety and Health Officers
- Emergency Response Team Members
- Supervisors and Managers
- HR Personnel
- Individual seeking First Aid certification
- General Workers in High-Risk Industries
Minimum Entry Requirement
PWM-Food Service: Food Service Course Level 3
GCE N Level pass in English (Grade 1 to 5) or equivalent, or - ES WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4 and above - Participants who do not meet the above requirements will be required to go through a short interview.
