About the course

This program aims to enable learners to develop their critical thinking skills in order for them to be able to find creative ideas and solutions to real workplace situations. Learners will connect ideas or information to propose or test ideas, improvements and solutions which challenge current assumptions or ways of working.

Objectives

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Think critically using creative thinking techniques
  • Use process analysis techniques to review current work processes
  • Gather information from various stakeholders using information collection tools
  • Generate creative ideas to resolve issues and improve work processes
  • Apply experimentation techniques to test ideas and solutions
  • Measure effectiveness of ideas or solutions

Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify and explain techniques used in the creative thinking process

  • Apply experimental techniques to test ideas, improvements and/or new solutions
  • Monitor implementation and apply impact measurement techniques to collect information and measure the effectiveness of ideas or solutions

Minimum entry requirements

No formal qualification—Participants should be able to converse, read, and write in English at the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) and/ or Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4 proficiency level.

Admin Fee for Absent and Reschedule: $32.70

Admin Fee for Make-up Session for Partial Absent, Appeal & Re-assessment: $54.50
