About the course

This programme aims to enable learners to develop effective problem-solving skills in order for them to identify and solve work place issues by coming up with solutions and implementing corrective actions. Learners will use tools, techniques and processes to identify problems and implement guidelines and procedures to solve problems and test solutions.

Objectives

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Apply suitable problem identification techniques to identify problems at the workplace
  • Apply questioning techniques to clarify and define problems
  • Identify decisions to be made and suggest potential corrective actions
  • Implement potential solutions and report issues that occur
  • Evaluate effectiveness of solutions using impact measurement techniques

Mode of Delivery

Face to Face or Synchronous (Online).

  • Identify common problems or issues at the workplace and its impact
  • Clarify and define problems using questioning techniques

Minimum entry requirements

No formal qualification—Participants should be able to converse, read, and write in English at the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) and/ or Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4 proficiency level.

- Delivery - 12.5 hours

- Assessment - 1.5 hours
