Course Objectives

This course equips learners with the essential digital skills and knowledge required to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy. Participants will explore cutting-edge tools and technologies like Generative AI, chatbots, and analytics to enhance workplace productivity, customer engagement, and decision-making. Learners will also build competency in cybersecurity, identify and mitigate risks associated with AI, and gain insights into emerging technologies like AR. By the end of the course, participants will develop a practical action plan for ongoing digital upskilling, including leveraging career resources like the SkillsFuture portal.

  • Recognise the importance of workplace cybersecurity and how to apply best practices in a digital environment.
  • Use Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Co-pilot, Google Gemini) to optimise productivity in various workplace scenarios.
  • Apply Generative AI for Customer Engagement, such as leveraging chatbots for pre- and post-sales support, with practical examples like Envoy by Voltade and AI by Cloud 8.
  • Use Generative AI for Content Creation, including writing optimised copy, customising and personalising marketing materials, and streamlining customer communications with tools like Guidesify.
  • Understand and apply clear and effective prompt design for Generative AI to achieve refined and meaningful outputs.
  • Gain awareness of risks associated with Generative AI, such as managing bias, identifying misinformation or disinformation, and using AI responsibly.
  • Transform data into actionable insights using analytics tools and dashboards to support informed decision-making.
  • Navigate the SkillsFuture portal for accessing online tools, educational courses, and career development opportunities.

Minimum Entry Requirement

Candidates should meet the following entry requirements:

  • 16 years and above
  • No formal qualification
  • Able to speak, listen, read, and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills WSQ Level 4 Workplace Literacy (WPL)
  • Able to manage calculations at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills WSQ Level 4 Workplace Numeracy (WPN)
  • Possess foundational digital literacy skills required at the workplace

Assessment

The following assessment will be held at the end of the course:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) - 15 Questions with 4 options each - 30 Mins
Short Answer Questions (SAQ) - 5 Questions - 30 Mins
Total Assessment Duration: 60 Mins
